Update 9/08/07: 13MR Capricorn gave birth to 9 babies (3 boys 6 girls) this afternoon. =D 13MR Karev is the proud new daddy. All of the girls are spoken for. The waiting list for the 3 boys is still OPEN.
Update 9/02/07: ABRY Oops and 13MR Suicide Blonde are the proud new parents of 9 new precious babies, DoB 9/01/07. I counted 5 boys and 4 girls. There are still a couple slots open for this litter, possibly more depending on the Dwarf to Standard ratio. I will be updating with pics on the "Current Litters" page. 13 Moons Rattery (13MR) is located in Forest Grove, Oregon. We specialize in Standard Ear and Dumbo Ear Fancy Rats in American Blue, Russian Blue, Mink, and a variety of other colors.Different markings including Irish, Berkshire, Hooded, Dalmation, Variegated, Down-Under, and Merle in Standard, Rex, and Velveteen coats.We also have Hairless once in a while and are working on getting Harley (long) fur into the lines. All of these colors and markings will also be available in my beloved Dwarf lines in the future. Our #1 goal/priority in our breeding program is excellent temperament and health. Our second goal is producing wonderful pet and show quality rats. All of our ratties whether rescued, in our breeding program, or retired are our beloved pets, and are well socialized with people including myself my husband and my four children. The Rattie Room is a 12'X12' room lined with shelves upon which are (at this time) 14 Martins R-685 powder coated cages, as well as smaller cages used for nurseries. All of the rats are given free-range time every day.
We do not allow visitors into the rattery. I shop for all of my rat and dog items at the local feed store which has no rats, or I shop online. All incoming ratties are kept in quarentine for three weeks before joining the rest of the ratties. All of these precautions are taken in order to insure I have the healthiest of rats in my home and in turn all adopters homes.
All babies come with a pedigree and their parents are registered with the NARR.
