13 Moons Rattery (13MR) is located in Forest Grove, Oregon but on most occasions I meet people in the Hillsboro area for pick up. We do not ship at this time.

13 Moons Rattery is a family run rattery breeding happy, healthy dwarf and standard sized rats with amazing temperments. We specialize in Color Points, Roans, Selves and Marked Downunders. The Color Points include Black Eyed Siamese, Burmese, and Russian Blue Burmese. Our Roans currently come in Black, Mink, Agouti and Cinnamon. Our Selves come in a variety of colors including Black, Agouti, Mink, Cinnamon and Russian Blue. Our Marked dwarves are a work in progress and we are currently seeing nice Capped and Dalmation/Variegated babies some having Downunder markings. Dwarf rats are our main focus however we do have their standard sized counterparts as well.

Future plans include Black Eyed Creams and Black Eyed Ivory as well as Hairless. We will also be introducing Russian Blue into the Roan lines.

Showing: Rarely am I able to make it to shows with so many other things taking my time. I am, however, involved in the local rat community, RatsPacNW (a great yahoo group - http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/RatsPacNW/ ). Even with my absence, I do have rats out there who have won in RatsPacNW shows. I hope to be able to attend shows more often in the future.

Rescue: I almost always have rescued ratties living with me. I help out in local rescues in whatever way I can and highly support the dedicated rescuers who spend much of their lives saving the lives of countless rats from bad situations. I encourage everyone to adopt, foster, volunteer or donate to local rescue organizations. A very wonderful small animal rescue in the pacific northwest is Little Mischief Rescue located in Vancouver BC. There are rattie trains coming and going from there to Washington, Oregon and Idaho quite often. Update 6/15/09: *Important information regarding adoption process changes below*

Due to incredibly long waitlists, litter plan changes, pregnancies not taking, adopters backing out on wait lists etc. I am making changes to the adoption process. I will no longer be taking names for planned litters. Instead, once babies reach four to five weeks old I will place their individual photos up on the current litters page listing them as available. At that time you may contact me with a filled out adoption request form to reserve the babies you are interested in. This process will be first come first serve In order to help keep all interested in adoption up to date, I will be sending out a monthly newsletter. To receive the newsletter simply send a newsletter request form.
